WELCOME TO SERVICE LINE STRATEGY GROUP
AT UNITED SURGICAL PARTNERS INTERNATIONAL
“I feel like the outpatient joint program is great for our surgery center. We’ve had wonderful outcomes and have been able to provide a place for patients to – that they can have their surgery, go home the same day, be with their families and recover in a comfortable environment”
“I truly believe that without USPI’s support […] there’s just a lot of things that would have fallen, not necessarily through the cracks, but wouldn’t have been as excellent as it is right now. The support is continuous, it’s 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, whenever we need them they respond and help us with anything we need.”
"USPI’s Service Line Strategy Group provided us a lot of support when it came to our joint program. They give us a lot of resources, they provide us with a lot of the things that are new and upcoming – something as new as outpatient total joints, and so having a backbone like that.”
We owe the success of the [myJOINT Health] Program at Resurgens Surgery Center to our surgeons, the preparations, and to the education and support from the [myJOINT Health] Implementation Team.
They [USPI] had protocols and guidelines in place to make sure we were not only doing [providing] excellent medical care, we were operating and taking care of the right patient, in the right setting … USPI provided us the roadmap so we could do joint replacement safely …
USPI helped us with implementation and also [made sure] that we followed best practices with all of our decision-making; all of our protocols; and all of our prior-to, during, and after surgery decisions.
The reason this program is valuable is the relationship with USPI.
The [myJOINT Health] Program through USPI has strong advantages … USPI provides the larger picture. They provide up-to-date research so we know what is happening in the medical community, and that makes a big difference.
It’s really a patient-centered approach. They [patients] wanted to get into a situation where they could control when they go home, how they did their therapy, and how they got back to their activities … It’s really worked out, as we’ve tracked our data, that patients are getting back to their activities in about 35 to 50 percent of the time they did when they were in the inpatient setting … Your patients are going to tell you: The outpatient experience is better for them.
The [myJOINT Health] Implementation Team … let the staff know how important each one of them was to the success of the patient. They reassured the staff that safety was the primary concern, allowing the staff to express themselves and question the success of these cases in other centers. The [myJOINT Health] Implementation Team educated and reassured us this was possible, and we were the team to do this.
Convenience, safety, and comfort for the patient: the top three reasons to explore outpatient joint replacement [with USPI].
